COURSES
We believe in ensuring our students get the most from the trainers and that’s why we cap our classes at 1 to 3 students max. The students will be participating in the building of a Dublin Bay 25 One design. This will introduce practical "hands-on” skills such as lofting, laminating, grown and steam-bent framing planking, bolting, gluing and the use of manual & powered tools. In parallel our academic syllabus covers yacht design history, different boatbuilding timbers, understanding boat design plans, milling processes, fairing, setting up, interiors, deck and rig design, spars, sail plans, engineering in practical and theoretical application, corrosion, and the business of boatbuilding,

The desire for well-trained shipwrights and boatbuilders maintains on a very high level, and more than the half of our students immediately find well paid work in one of the yards in the Barcelona and Palma de Mallorca areas.
Accreditations
The Carpenter Guild of Barcelona, Spain was founded 600 years ago and is one of the oldest still active professional entities in the world. The Guild was integrated within the professional training schemes of the European Union. Barcelona Boatbuilders has member status within the Carpenter Guilds of Barcelona, and certificates will be issued by official EU Guilds, recognized within the entire European Union.
Accommodation
Although we do not offer accommodation, closely located Vilanova as well as Barcelona offers numerous shared crew apartments where single rooms are readily available. Barcelona Boatbuilders are glad to assist students with their accommodation needs.
