MODULE 1 Boatbuilding
Our main boatbuilder course has a full 10 months curriculum, starting in the forest, milling techniques, history of naval design, lofting, timber selection and storage, hands-on participation in the workshop building a boat. Centerline, section definition, framing and flooring, deck support and deck laying, rig planning and building, interior and systems. The course includes the economic structure, the material and human resource planning, finishing treatment of all components, and: at the end we go sailing!

Barcelona Boatbuilders have reacted to student concerns regarding to the length of the course and the amount to be paid for the boatbuilders course: We have created 5 shorter 2-months master-skill courses, in total covering the same curriculum and the same amount of time and the same amount of fees to be paid, but the 5 shorter courses can be attended over the period of 3 years, reducing the amount of time and money to shorter amounts. Master-Skill courses cover the 5 main chapters of the complete boatbuilder course, each 2 months, each 3.150,00 €, VAT included

MODULE 2 - Refit and Repair
Module 2 courses are directed to carpenters and shipwrights, interested to advance in their trade and acquire new techniques and procedures to develop different skill sets servicing boats. The following courses are part of MDULE 2, refit and repair:
